Island of Unst Tour
Visiting Unst is a treat because not only is it the most northerly part of the
UK but you can see the most northerly house, visit the most northerly cafe
and walk on the most northerly beach in the British Isles.
St Olaf's Church - The location old Pictish/Norse crosses over 1,000 years
old (see my photo). On route we also pass a Neolithic/Bronze Age
standing stone called Bordastubble.
Viking longhouse and longship replicas Super examples of the significance
of the Viking influence and history.
Norwick Beach - A geological gem.
Skaw Beach - A hidden treasure with its beautiful sandy beach, stunning views and amazing rock formations.
Muness Castle - Built in 1598 by Laurence Bruce, a relative of Earl Patrick Stewart who built Scalloway castle.
And much more besides!
As with any tour in Shetland, flexibility is inbuilt, not least because of the weather. Although there are no long walks on this tour, it is essential that visitors have a good pair of walking boots and warm, waterproof clothing.
The cost of ferries, entry fees and lunch are all included in the package.
